Any reader of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe know that proper home made Turkish pleasure is a tasty treat. This dessert is very unique and is known by many people who have actually read the book 'The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe'.
This would do well for a tea ceremony, a vacation celebration, or perhaps if you simply wished to surprise somebody.  For fans of Narnia or simply plain enthusiasts of sugary foods, this dish will absolutely please your taste buds!
Turkish Deilght are little, great smelling cubes of jelly, typically flavoured with rosewater, orange flower water or citrus fruit juice and greatly cleaned with icing sugar. The sugary foods are made by boiling sugar syrup and cornflour together gradually for numerous hours over a low heat, the outcome is a thick, sticky jelly.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups water
3 cups granulated sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup orange juice
3 tablespoons orange enthusiasm
3 (25 ounce) envelopes unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup sliced pistachio nuts
Confectioners' sugar

o Cook 10 mins
o Ready in 3 hrs 30 mins
Directions:
1. Bring 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, and corn syrup to a boil over medium-high heat in a huge pan.
2. Cook, stirring regularly, till the temperature level reaches 240 degrees F (115 degrees C) on a candy thermometer.
3. Reserve and keep hot.
4. Stir together orange juice and orange zest, sprinkle with gelatin, and reserved.
5. In a little bowl, liquefy cornstarch in 1/2 cup cold water, then stir into hot syrup.
6. Place over medium-low heat, and simmer, stirring carefully, up until really thick.
7. Get rid of syrup from heat, stir in orange juice mix, vanilla, and pistachios.
8. Sprinkle a 8x8-inch pan kindly with confectioners' sugar.
9. Pour the Turkish Delight into the pan, and let cool in a cool, dry place (not the fridge) up until set, 3 to 4 hours.
10. When cool, sprinkle the top with another thick layer of powdered sugar.
11. Cut into 1-inch squares, and dredge each well with confectioners' sugar.
12. Store at space temperature level in an airtight container.
